It's been a while...

But theatre, reiki, the sharemarket, are still central parts of my life.  The bodybuilding thing, I'll come back to...

This week I saw the best Shakespeare ever.  It's one I've acted in a couple of times, so I knew it pretty well, and this was the way Shakespeare is meant to be done: the actors understood and clearly expressed the very human emotions that underpin everything.  When they get that right, it doesn't matter that the language is often archaic, in fact we then hear more of the poetry in the words.

I liked it so much, I didn't even mind (much) that one of the key characters was represented by a recorded voice coming out of an old radio.

It  also didn't hurt that they edited the script quite carefully too.  Well done, Mr Director: Benjamin Schostakowski.

He is young and incredibly talented.  If I'm lucky I may get to work with him some day.
